Barbara Morris
The daughter of a supervisor at Sparrows Point, Barbara Morris grew up hearing 'steel stories' at home. One of her treasured memories is this picture of her father' s work boot and her baby shoe, taken outside their house.
Barbara works at UMBC and became interested in this history project several years ago- so interested that she changed life course slightly and enrolled as a graduate student in history at UMBC. She is now conducting her own videotaped interviews with steelworkers which will be available through the project and on-line, if the time ever comes.
